David L. Paddock, 55, Decatur, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in Houston, Texas.
He was born March 29, 1959, to the late Louis (Jim) Paddock and Joyce (Drake) Paddock.
David was a long time truck driver. A few of his employers include Werner Enterprises, Martins in Fort Wayne and Raun in Decatur. He had his own business, Dave Pilot Car, where he escorted long and wide loads.
His children and his long-time companion, Leslie, were all at his side when he passed.
Surviving are two brothers, Larry (Kris) Paddock of Pennsylvania and John Paddock of Texas; a sister, Linda (Rich) Silvernail of Virginia; six children, Stacy (Chris) Crabtree of Virginia, Heather Conklin of Pennsylvania, Kristina Paddock-Vanasse and Kimberly (Randy) Chandler, both of Maryland and Kiersten and Daniel Paddock of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and his long-time companion Leslie Carper of Decatur.
David didn’t want a funeral or memorial service. He was cremated and all the people whom he loved have a small part of him.
