D. Florine Thatcher

    D. Florine Thatcher, 88, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011, in Vancrest Nursing Home at Convoy, Ohio.
    She was born on June 17, 1922, to Lester V. and Grace C. (Cully) Everett in Wren, Ohio.
    On October 1, 1960, she married Joseph W. Thatcher; he passed away on May 8, 2005.
    Florine was a member of General Electric Corp.'s Quarter-Century Club, E.L.E.X G.E. Womens Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and Women of the Moose at Decatur Lodge 1311. She formerly attended Decatur Wesleyan Church.
    She is survived by one son, Kerry W. Thatcher of Convoy; three daughters, Leilonnee R. (Brad) Taylor of Convoy; Victoria Hudson-Scheider of Germany, and Mary F. Hudson of Ellettsville, Indiana; two sisters, her twin, Babe Gephart of Decatur, and Alice LeRoy of Sacramento, California; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
    Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday January 21, in the chapel at Decatur Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to the Adams County Council on Aging.
    Funeral arrangements were by Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.
