Harvesting for Foods Resource Bank. (Eric Mann Photo)

A special harvest, the seventh annual one of its type locally, took place Sunday on 20 acres of the farm owned by Darrel, Joyce, and Dean Arnold in rural Decatur, at County Rds. 500 North and 500 West.
The corn was harvested by several combines and the crop proceeds were donated to the Foods Resource Bank, which is "a Christian response to world hunger."
The effort was sponsored by the congregations of Salem United Church of Christ, north of Magley, and Plymouth UCC in Fort Wayne.
