Crash sends cycle rider to hospital

    A two-vehicle crash at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday resulted in one driver being admitted t Adams Memorial Hospital (AMH) with injuries, according to an Adams County Sheriff's Department report.
    Police said Charles Myers III, 61, Van Wert, Ohio, was eastbound in the 2500 east block of U.S. 224 on his motorcycle and was following a pickup truck operated by Chad E. Hauser, 28, Bluffton. The report said Hauser slowed to turn left into a driveway but Myers did not realize a turn was going to be made, tried to pass the pickup truck and they collided.
    Paramedics were called to the scene to transport Myers to the hospital where he was treated initially in the emergency and later was admitted. He was listed in stable condition this morning. The police report said Myers sustained a fracture/dislocation to an upper arm.
    Damage to the two vehicles was estimated at between $5,001-$10,000 by authorities.
