Crash in Jay County ends chase; teen driver charged

    More information was released today by the Decatur Police Department concerning the arrest of a Portland teenager early Monday morning.
    A police report said that at approximately 3:12 a.m., city officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a person wanted for questioning in connection with a stolen vehicle report.
    Police said the driver of the vehicle, Quentin L. Guntle, 18, allegedly refused to stop for police at 15th and Monroe streets and a chase ensued. Police said Guntle drove west from Decatur and then went south into Jay County with speeds in the chase exceeding 90 mph.  He wrecked his car in Jay County and was apprehended there by authorities, police said.
