Crackdown on impaired drivers now under way

August 14, 2014

Adams County Traffic Safety Partnership Coordinator Dio Hernandez has a message for motorists: Drive sober or get pulled over.
Law enforcement officers in the county are cracking down on impaired driving through the upcoming Labor Day weekend, with a zero tolerance approach for anyone attempting to drive while impaired. Officers will be working overtime to identify and apprehend those who disregard this message, Hernandez said. Drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately arrested and taken to jail.
The partnership consists of the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Decatur Police Department and the Geneva Police Department.
Law enforcement agencies from across Indiana are participating in the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign which is now under way.
