Courthouse temps repair being sought

July 9, 2013

Prosecutor Chris Harvey attended the county commissioners' meeting on Monday to request their assistance in getting the heating and air conditioning in the courthouse repaired.
Harvey said that the courthouse was split into zones by a sub-contractor when a project was done three years ago. The zones' temperatures can be controlled independently of each other, but each zone will either heat or cool completely, regardless of the thermostats within it. However, when the company that installed and is supposed to maintain the system is contacted, they blame the engineer, who blames the installers, with the result that the problem remains, according to Harvey.
