County schools look to advance in sectional action

October 28, 2011

The second round of high school football sectionals kicks off tonight with games at 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
The three Adams County schools are all still in the running for their respective sectionals and would like to ask for continued support from their local fan base.
The Braves will be at home this evening with a tough Yorktown squad who sit at 6-4. Should the Braves move on tonight, it will be a coin flip between two 8-2 teams, Mississinewa and Western, both are the sectional favorites over the Braves.
Adams Central will be at home for tonights game as well as the sectional finals should they make it past Fremont. Fremont will be looking to make a statement against the Jets who have always had their number in football playoff history.
South Adams travels south to take on the Union City Indians tonight. They will be in for a battle as their defense faces another team that can air the ball out for some damage. Both teams are averaging more than 30 points a contest and both are 9-1 on the season.
