County avoids brunt of weekend storm

In a refreshing change, the biggest weather story of the weekend seems to be the snow we didn’t receive rather than the heavy accumulation that was predicted.
The National Weather Service had issued a winter weather advisory for northeastern Indiana and northwestern Ohio for Saturday evening through Sunday evening. The storm system was predicted to hit in two rounds, with the first coming Saturday night and the second coming Sunday night, dumping 6-9 inches of fresh snow along with a wintery mix of freezing rain and sleet.
Once again, Adams County residents were braced for the worst of Mother Nature. However this time around we were spared the brunt of the blow.
