Fifty-seven Adams County Girl Scouts, Daisies, and Brownies recently visited the Adams County Community Foundation in downtown Decatur as part of the annual "Troop and a Tour . . . for the Troops" project.
Each Girl Scout received a presentation about the historical aspects of the building and an overview of the purpose and mission of the Foundation by Executive Director Coni Mayer
The Foundation purchased 114 boxes of cookies, which will now be given to Adams County military members.
Those with friends or family serving in the military may come to the Foundation office at 102 N. Second Street in Decatur for a box of cookies to send to military members as a reminder of home, Mayer said.
Cookies will be available while supplies last.
For more information contact the Foundation by phone, 724-3939, or email: accfoundation@earthlink.net.
