Communications towers are likely to be replaced

    Sheriff Shane Rekeweg talked to the county at their weekly meeting on Monday about replacing the communications towers in Monroe and Decatur.
    He explained that both are overloaded with equipment and he advised building a new one that will be able to hold all of the equipment needed. The commissioners were open to the idea, and bids will be accepted for the project next week.
    Meanwhile, former county recorder Connie Moser, who is now an assistant in that office, gave a report regarding the scanning of certain departments' books into digital copies to make room in their offices.
