Commish okay CC staff restructuring

June 24, 2014

If at first you don’t succeed...
Just as he did last week, Adams County Community Corrections Executive Director Ian Gilbert appeared before the Adams County Commissioners Monday to again ask their permission to restructure his staff in the wake of the resignation of Field Officer Kevin McIntosh. This time, however, his request was unanimously approved.
Gilbert indicated his previous appearance had resulted in a “misunderstanding” which led to the rejection of his plans to add a second case manager to his staff and eliminating McIntosh’s field officer position to better accommodate a growing caseload while at the same time reducing payroll.
In discussing the topic a second time, Gilbert informed commissioners he had “brought job descriptions” complete with commensurate salaries this time around, so they might have a better comprehension of how his planned restructuring would be beneficial to both his department and county government.
