Adams Central sophomore outfielder Dalton Combs, who led the Jets in 11 offensive categories this year, was named first team All-ACAC in baseball today by the conference coaches.
Teammates Nathan Busse and Cody Brunner, infielders, both seniors, were given second-team status.
Taylor Smith and Taylor LeFever of South Adams were also named to the first team.
Combs paced the Jets with a .482 batting average and led the team in hits with 37, runs with 29 and home runs with three.
Combs was safe on 22 of 25 stolen base attempts and Cody Brunner was in safely 18 of 19 times. Combs had 12 doubles and had 188 total bases compared to the 132 of No. 2 man Isaac Luginbill.
Combs' on-base percentage was an amazing .647 while Luginbill was next at .494 and Nathan Busse third at .473. Combs drew 21 walks. Busse had just nine k's in 62 trips. Cody Brunner had only nine strikeouts in 75 trips..
Busse led the team with 23 RBI on 23 hits and a .371 mark. Luginbill hit .363 with 29 hits (2nd on team) and two homers plus 16 RBI.
Brunner, who hit .413, had a homer and 31 hits with 14 runs scored.
Heritage put three players on the first team: Matt Fuelling, Seth Snider, and Bryan Shuler. Andrew Suciu, Luke Pepple and Taylor Horn were named first teamers from Leo.
Logan Lee and James Weber were named from Garrett. Jason Maier and Zach Schwartz of Woodlan were named to the first team All-ACAC. Bluffton put junior Alex Penrod on the team and Seth Biberstine made it for Southern Wells.
Dustin Wanner and Gabe Sprunger were named to the second team from South Adams.
