The Jets soared over the Stars thanks to their offense that had been stifled slightly in their last few victories but broke out in a big way with 13 hits including two homeruns.
Already ahead with a run in the first inning and two to start the second, the Jets got a bases clearing grand-slam from Combs to make it 7-0 early. Adams Central put 10 batters to the plate in the second that started with five straight singles leading up to the grand finale from Combs.
Conner Lengerich would add to the fireworks with a solo shot in the fourth inning for an 8-0 lead before the Starfires would reach the scoreboard in the fifth.
After two strikeouts from Isaac Soldner on the mound for AC, Corey Seffernick connected with a double for South Adams, then scored on a Blake Fox single for the RBI.
The Jets countered with one in the fifth on a double from Jaron Bittner scoring Alex Byerly who was pinch-running for Matt Schwaller who singled.
In the sixth inning, South Adams would have their best showing putting three runs on the board starting with a single by Eric Pimentel, then a walk to Nick Busse. Jared Rife, the Starfire DH, singled in Pimentel, then Busse scored on a single from Alex Augsburger. Seffernick's single the next at-bat scored Rife before Soldner would strikeout Fox to end the threat.
