Marine Corporal Josh Bleill and current Colts quarterback Chandler Harnish will each share their inspiring life stories in the Bellmont High School auditorium at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, a free event sponsored by the Men’s Community Fellowship of Adams County.
Proceeds from free-will donations going to Wounded Warriors, an announcement said.
A news release said the Greenfield, Indiana, native and Purdue University graduate, Corporal Bleill joined the United States Marine Corps in 2004. Activated for a tour of duty in 2006, he was severely injured in Iraq, losing both legsy. After extensive rehabilitation, Bleill has returned home to Indiana, establishing a new life and finding a new purpose in his role as the Indianapolis Colts community spokesperson.
Bleill now travels the country to spread his message of hope “one step at a time,” and he has been described by Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay as, “very talented, bright-eyed, and skilled.”
Bluffton native and Norwell High School graduate Chandler Harnish, now of the Indianapolis Colts, will also speak about his life experiences. Harnish attended Northern Illinois University and was the last player drafted (253rd pick) in the 2012 NFL draft, by the Colts.
Harnish was on the Colts practice squad most of the 2012 season and has been re-signed by the Colts and will be given the chance to fill the backup role in the 2013 season.
