Collier given highest honor

    Longtime Adams County businessman, volunteer, and 50-year scouting enthusiast David Collier was the surprise recipient of a Sagamore of the Wabash award from Indiana Governor Mike Pence on Thursday night'.
    The award was presented to Collier at the annual Adams County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner by Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann on behalf of Gov. Pence and she noted, "You could not have picked a better Hoosier for this award. I'm proud to be with you here tonight."
    The Sagamore of the Wabash is the highest award an Indiana governor can bestow upon a private citizen and is given to those who have rendered a distinguished service to the state or to the governor.
