In the Bellmont-Adams Central dual wrestling meet slated for tonight at Bellmont, there are a few lineup changes.
Adams Central freshman Adam Cook is back in the Jets' lineup at 103 pounds and he'll be facing Bellmont's Jordan Richards. Bellmont's Anthony Stebing is out at 145 and sophomore Jacob Bergman will take his place.
With AC 189-pounder Dillon Goetterman out for the season with a concussion, the Jets might put in 171-pound back-up Luke Marbach. If Marbach goes, he will face Bellmont's Brad Busse, the Adams Central Jayvee Invitational Most Outstanding Wrestling after Busse defeated both regular Isaac Birch and Ben Baker (3-1 and 7-6 respectively) in wrestle-off action this week at BHS.
The Braves enter the meet at 15-2 while the Jets are 16-4 after a 3-2 showing at the Yorktown Invitational this past weekend. Prior to that, the Jets had won at Delta and at Northwestern. Bellmont, rated 14th in last week's poll, won the New Castle Super Duals and lost to Yorktown at Peru. The Braves have clinched a share of the NHC crown for the 21st consecutive season after topping Carroll last Thursday, 39-31.
Central will be without standout sophomore 112-pounder  Cody Walburn, who has a broken thumb and hopes to be back for the ACAC Tourney in late January. Sophomore Josh Thieme takes his spot.
Bellmont bring in three unbeatens in seniors Ryley Hankenson at 171, Travis Thatcher at 215 and No. 1 rated heavyweight Daniel Meyer. Central is led by Derek Roe, 19-1 at 119 and 125 pounds, though he is unbeaten at 119.
Zeke Schultz at 145 Jarod Schwartz at 152 are 18-2 and Chantz Luginbill at 160 is 16-4 for the Jets.  Josh Schwartz (12-6), Zac Yoder (14-6) at 135 and senior Blake Thieme (913-5) at 140 all have strong records for the Jets.
Brooks Faurote is 16-1 for the Braves.
Roe will face 14-3 Bobby Keuneke. "I think that should be a good match," stated Bellmont coach Brent Faurote.
AC heavyweight Nick Heyerly returned to practice Monday after missing Saturday's meet with illness.
