August 25, 2014

A drinking water boil advisory for the city of Decatur was lifted Sunday after two consecutive water samples tested by the state showed no impurities in the city’s drinking water supply.
The city had been under the advisory since late Friday afternoon following a water main break on the city’s south side. Jeremy Gilbert, operations manager for the city of Decatur, said the advisory was lifted by 9:20 a.m. Sunday.
