Citizens urged to report illegal dumping, spills

January 23, 2014

An updated website for the City of Decatur’s storm water department was unveiled at Tuesday night’s city council meeting, and City Engineer Nate Rumschlag is hopeful it will spur citizens to report illicit discharges.
“(To halt) the illegal dumping and spills is why the storm water department was created,” Rumschlag told council.
The new web site has added features and a more versatile program. To connect to the site, people should go to the home page for the city of Decatur: www.decaturin.org. The link for the storm water department may then be found under the “city departments” tab.
