Chloe A. Christianer

    Chloe A. Christianer, 71, of Decatur, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at her residence.
    She was born on October 7, 1940, in Allen County to Thomas Edward and Zanta (Squire) Imel.
    Chloe married Don G. Christianer on September 14, 1957.
    She is survived by her mother, Zanta M. Butorac of Decatur; her husband of 54 years, Don Christianer of Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Deborah (Joel) Mishler, Nancy A. Brown (companion, Brad Townsend), and Pamela A. Daniels (companion, Steve Helm), all of Decatur; a brother, Thomas (Ilene) Imel of Ossineke, Michigan; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Imel.
    Chloe was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary at Post 43 in Decatur.
    She worked as a homemaker and a sales clerk for Nowak’s Hallmark Store in Decatur.
    Per Chloe’s request, there will be no public service or visitation.
    Memorials may be made to Family Life Care Hospice at Berne.
    Arrangements were by Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
