‘Children of Eden’ to open Saturday

    The Bellmont High School 2012 spring musical production “Children of Eden” scheduled for this weekend will showcase the talents of many North Adams students as cast, orchestra and tec crew members, play organizers said.
    “Children of Eden” is loosely based on the first two books of the bible. Act One tells the story of Adam, Even, Cain and Abel.  Act Two is the story of Noah and the flood.
    Faculty member Ric Giest is the production director.
    Connor Hakes portrays Father in both acts.
    The curtain will open for two performances in the Erekson Theatre in Bellmont High School at 7 p.m. on Saturday and aT 4 p.m. on Sunday.
    Reserved seat tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for students and seniors citizens. Reserved seats are in the lower sections of the theatre. General Admission tickets will be $6 and are in the two upper mezzanine areas.

    Cast members in the story of Adam and Eve are as follows: Ethan Lichtle as Adam, Jamie Schueler as Eve, Trace Plumley as Young Cain, Kara Plumley as Young Abel, Corbin Poling as Abel and Freddy Fuelling as Cain. 
    The Act One storytellers are: Shannon Lee, Madison Stoppenhagen, Tori Smitley, Leah Smitley, Taylor Blum, Vinnie Meyer, Ross Ehle, Maggie Emerick, Allie Sutton, Haley Baumgartner, Whitnie Twigg, Logan Baldwin, Mercedes Coates, Wednesday Sargent, Jordyn Inskeep, Katie Krueckeberg, Rachel Gerber and Katlyn Moses. 
    Katie Krueckeberg is also the Snake Head while storytellers  Shannon Lee, Kaitlyn Moses, Madison Stoppenhagen, Haley Baumgartner, Maggie Emerick, Tori Smitley, Leah Smitley, and Whitnie Twigg are the snake dancers.
    Choreographers for Act One are as follows: “In the Beginning,” Shannon Lee and Maggie Emerick; “Pursuit of Excellence,” Ethan Lichtle; “In the Wasteland,” Madison Stoppenhagen
    Cast members for Noah and the Flood are: Ethan Lichtle as Noah, Madison Stoppenhagen as Momma, Corbin Poling as Japheth, Vinnie Meyers as Ham, Ross Ehle as Seth, Katie Krueckeberg as Yonah, Allie Sutton as Aysha, Maggie Emerick as Aphra, and Shannon Lee as the Dove. 
    The storytellers are Shannon Lee, Haley Baumgartner, Tori Smitley, Taylor Blum, Freddy Fuelling, Jamie Schueler, Leah Smitley, Whitnie Twigg, Wednesday Sargent, Jordyn Inskeep, Katlyn Moses, Mercedes Coates, Logan Baldwin, Rachel Gerber.
    Choreographers for Act Two are: “Generations,” Madison Stoppenhagen; “Ain’t it Good,” Katie Krueckeberg, Ethan Lichtle, and Freddy Fuelling.
