Charlene J. Davis, 75, of Decatur, died at her residence on Thursday, October 11, 2012.
She was born in Letts, Ind., on January 10, 1937, to the late Lawrence W. and Ida H. (Blain) Pearl.
On July 19, 1958 she married Carl R. Davis; he survives in Decatur.
Charlene was a school teacher for 29 years with Fort Wayne Community Schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the ISTA and Allen County Retired Teachers.
Among survivors are three sons, Kirk R. (Kim) Davis of Leo, Dr. Keith R. (Dawn) Davis of Fort Wayne and Kerry R. (Kim) Davis of Decatur; a daughter, Sue G. (Lynn) Kaiser of Fort Wayne; and a brother, Wayne B. (Glenda) Pearl of Odon, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren, Cori, Korbin, Kiersten, Kody, Kaleb, Kyle, Carter, Kelly, Daniel, Kolin and Klayton.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services on Sunday.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, also at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to ACCF Alzheimer/Dementia Angel Fund or Pathways Adult Daycare.
