Challenge series starts April 28

    The Adams County Community Foundation's 5K Run-Walk Challenge will begin its third season on April 28 with the Run Over Violence at Adams Memorial Hospital, starting at 9 a.m. 
    The 2012 series will feature nine races (participants must complete seven to qualify for challenge awards):
    • Run Over Violence on Saturday, April 28 in Decatur.,
    • CG Sports  - Run with Endurance 5K at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 12 in Decatur.
    • Junior Achievement South Adams 5K at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 in Berne.
    • Monroe Lions 5K at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 in Monroe.
    • Swiss Days Race at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 in Berne.
    • Edward Jones Kekionga Greenway Gallop at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 26, in Decatur.
    • Catch Your Breath 5K at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 15 in Decatur.
    • Callithumpian Canter at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 in Decatur.
    • The Rainbow Lake 5K at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 24 in Geneva.
    Pre-registration for the entire series will be available again. Those forms are available at the main office of the First Bank of Berne and at the Worthman Fitness Center in Adams Memorial Hospital. Series registration will also be available at the first three events of the series.
    Series awards will be presented at the Rainbow Lake 5K.
