Cast unmasked for ‘Phantom’

    Bellmont High School cast members for the musical "The Phantom of the Opera" have been announced for the shows this Saturday and Sunday in Bellmont Theatre.
    The productions will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. At the Saturday night event, the theatre will be renamed Erekson Memorial Theatre in tribute to Reid and Evelyn Erekson, the first highly-trained adults to lead student productions on that stage.
    Reserved seat tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and $6 general admission.
    Advertisements in the program are also being sold and businesses and individuals may become patrons of the theater. For information about tickets, ads, or being a patron, call Jeannie Smith at BHS: 724-7121, ext. 4.
    The cast:
    Olivia Babb, senior — Christina Daae, chorus girl who wins the heat of The Phantom.
    Conner Hakes, junior — The Phantom, a composer and magician in the Paris Opera House.
    Corbin Poling, sophomore — Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny, patron of the opera and the childhood sweetheart of Christine.
    Ben Turney, sophomore — Monsieur Firmin, co-manager of the opera house.
    Tyler Shawler, junior — Monsieur Andre, co-manager of the opera house.
    Madison Stoppenhagen, sophomore — Carlotta Giudicelli, female star of the opera.
    Ethan Lichtle, junior — Ubaldo Piangi, the male star of the opera.
    Rachael Colclasure, senior — Madame Giry, ballet mistress who knows all the secrets of The Phantom.
    Katie Krueckeberg, junior—Meg Giry, daughter of Madame, a ballet dancer, and Christine's best friend.
