Carolyn J. Gerber

    Carolyn J. Gerber, 71, formerly of rural Craigville, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday in Christian Care Retirement Community at Bluffton.
    She was born on December 25, 1939, in Decatur to Harry and Berniece Hanni Frauhiger.
    She married William "Bill" Gerber on March 19, 1961, in Wells County; he survives.
    She was a licensed insurance agent and an office clerk for 18 years at the Les Gerber Insurance Agency and was a member of Apostolic Christian Church near Vera Cruz. She was a 1958 graduate of Decatur High School.
    Other survivors are three sons, Rodney Gerber (and wife Rochelle) of Bluffton, Michael Gerber (and wife Tammy) of Decatur, and William Gerber Jr. of Bluffton; one daughter, Mrs. Greg (Shelley) Miller of Bluffton; two sisters, Mary Jo Frauhiger of Decatur and Barbara Weiss of Carmel; six brothers, Fred Frauhiger (and wife Nancy) of Carmel; Gary Frauhiger (and wife Carol), Bill Frauhiger, and Philip Frauhiger (and wife Linda), all of Fort Wayne; Robert Frauhiger of Hilton Head, South Carolina; and Stanley Frauhiger (and wife Lou) of Decatur; and six grandchildren.
    Deceased are one son, Richard Gerber; one grandson, Luke Gerber; one brother, James Frauhiger; and one sister, Judy Frauhiger.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Apostolic Christian Church at Bluffton, with ministers Doyle and Steve Frauhiger officiating.
    Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery of Wells County.
    Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. today and noon-8 p.m. Sunday in Goodwin Memorial Chapel at Bluffton and 9-10 a.m. Monday in the church.
