Carl J. Geimer

    Carl J. Geimer, 88, of Angola, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
    He was born on June 5, 1924, in Decatur to Herman F. and Matilda (Heiman) Geimer.
    Carl married Marceille E. Denny on July 8, 1972, in Fort Wayne; she preceded him in death on June 30, 2006.
    Carl worked at Dana for nearly 34 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola and a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1568 in Angola and the Cameron Hospital Auxiliary.
    Among survivors are a stepson, Marshall C. Bush of Angola; a stepdaughter in-law, Barbara Allen of Henderson, Ariz.; five sisters, Mary L. Alberding, Alice Brunton and Mildred Leitz, all of Decatur, Eileen Gage of Lady Lake, Fla., and Vera Laurent of New Haven; three stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Brelsford, Marla Kinner and James Hunter; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Madisen Kinner, Taylor Kinner and Victoria Hunter.
    He was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert D. Allen; a stepdaughter, Susan Hunter; two brothers, Richard and Robert; and a sister, Agnes Daniels.
    Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, from 4-7 p.m. at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Angola, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Fred Pasche will be officiating.
    Burial will be at a later date at the Lehman Cemetery.
    Memorials are for Masses to the church.
