Callithumpian Festival kicked off over the weekend

October 31, 2011

Last weekend was the busiest time for the Callithumpian Festival, with all events well-attended in good fall weather.
Hundreds of kids and adults attended the Safe Trick-or-Treat event in Safety Park on Saturday, as did Sunday's Trunk-and-Treat event downtown.
Sunday's Callithumpian Canter at Bellmont High School had a record number of five-kilometer runners, 160, and a record number of quilts, 229, were on display in a show at Riverside Center on Saturday.
