Busse newest city officer

July 12, 2013

As his mother, Jill, held the Bible, Decatur's newest police officer, Trent Busse, took the oath of office from city Clerk-Treasurer Phyllis Whitright this week.
A 2009 graduate of Bellmont High School and a standout member of the school's state championship football team, Busse graduated last spring from Marian College in Indianapolis, having majored in business management and human resources.
The son of Tim and Jill Busse of rural Decatur, Trent will begin 16 weeks of training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield in November.
