Budget approved, city tax rate set at .9772

    Decatur's property tax rate for 2013 will be .9772 cents on each $100 of assessed valuation now that the city's budget finally has been approved by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF).
    City Clerk-Treasurer Phyllis Whitright made the announcement at this week's city council meeting.
    The budget was approved as submitted, the DLGF making no changes.
