Bonnie Lou Bryan, 80, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Christian Care Retirement Center in Bluffton.
She was born on October 16, 1932, to the late Edward Lee and Ethel Fay (Davison) Gaunt.
Bonnie married Edwin Clair Bryan on June 14, 1952; he survives in Decatur.
She was a member of the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. She was active in the Brethren Disaster Ministries as a Project Director with her husband.
Among survivors are her daughter, Lisa (John) Schmitt of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; son, Nathaniel (Juanita) Bryan of Bluffton; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Jay) Reynolds and Allison Schmitt; two great-granddaughters, Charlotte Reynolds and Eliana Reynolds; brother, William Richard (Ina) Gaunt of Fort Wayne.
Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons, Jonathan Clair Bryan and Edwin Charles “Chad” Bryan; two sisters, Darlene Vera Gaunt and Barbara Gaunt; and seven brothers, David Arthur Gaunt, Charles Clayton Gaunt, Darrell Paul Gaunt, Edward Lee Gaunt Junior, Mark Wayne Gaunt, Harold Mack Gaunt, and Graydon Gibson.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, February 8, and from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, at the church, with Pastor Jay Carter officiating.
Burial will be at Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Camp Alexander Mack “Growing from the Ashes.”
