Bomb threat evacuates Bluffton HS

September 17, 2013

Two Bluffton High School students were taken into police custody Monday after officials believe they left a note in a restroom warning of a bomb in the school earlier that morning.
Bluffton Police Chief Tammy Schaffer said her department received a call from school officials at 9:50 a.m. Monday saying there was a bomb threat at the school. The warning was delivered via a note found in a school bathroom.
Schaffer said the school was evacuated after police arrived at the scene and students were escorted to the middle school.
Everything went very smoothly,” said Schaffer. “The school did an outstanding job of making good decisions and making sure the students were safe.”
