Bikes and booms: It must be summer in Decatur

April 18, 2014

Snow was on the ground in Decatur on Tuesday morning, but that night’s city council meeting featured a wealth of talk about summer activities: the Sculpture Walk Festival, the annual Fourth of July fireworks display, and, once again, a major motorcycle event.
The ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) of Indiana group will be back for what was formerly its Mayors Ride, now titled The Motorcycle Experience, on Sunday, June 1.
The Sculpture festival  is scheduled for June 13-14. And, of  course, the fireworks display will be held on July 4, which this year falls on a Friday.
