Bellmont High School held its first Career Day Wednesday morning as local businesses, government employees and manufacturers came to the school to give BHS students a look at their possible future.
The exposure to the latest career opportunities was intended to entice students into thinking about their futures. Careers in the field of art, graphic design, dance, nutrition, civil service, manufacturing, masonry and medicine were all on display. Students were encouraged to ask questions that would lead them to a greater understanding of each career they may be interested in pursuing.
Represented businesses in attendance to support BHS youth included Adams Memorial Hospital, the Decatur Daily Democrat, the Decatur fire and police departments and many more.
