Bobby D. Jackson
Paul E. Whitesell, superintendent of the Indiana State Police, has announced the re-assignment of a trooper from the Fort Wayne post to the rank of detective.
Trooper Bobby D. Jackson, 38, has been re-assigned to detective and transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division, where he will assume investigative duties in Adams and Jay Counties.
Jackson is a native of Decatur and a 1993 graduate of Bellmont High School. Before applying to the Indiana State Police, Jackson was a patrolman with the Decatur Police Department from 2002 until 2006.
Jackson was appointed to the state police in 2006 as a graduate of the Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was assigned to the Redkey post, where he served Blackford and Grant counties until that post was closed and its counties consolidated into the Fort Wayne, Pendleton and Peru posts on November 1, 2010. It was then that he transferred to the Fort Wayne Post.
During his career with the state police, Jackson has served as a field training officer and is currently assigned as a member of the clandestine laboratory team. He and his wife, Victoria, reside in Monroe with their three children.
