Beverly K. Case, 72, Decatur died on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne as the result of a pedestrian-vehicle accident.
She was born in Decatur on November 16, 1940 to the late Gilbert and Norma (Wefel) Thieme. She married Bud E. Case on October 11, 1986. He survives.
Beverly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had worked for Heller Insurance Agency and Graber Insurance Agency.
Among survivors are step-mother, Mary Thieme of Decatur; eight step-children, Cindy (Steve) Goyak of Anderson, Lisa Case of Decatur, Tony (Ginny) Case of Monroe, Laura (Larry) Arnold of Preble, Nan (Dave) Cooper of Alaska, Tim (Sandy) Case of Angola, Susan (Ben Habel) Case and Krista (Brian) Hackman, both of Decatur; a brother, Lanny Thieme of North Olmsted, Ohio; two sisters, Karen Reidenbach of Frankfort and Susan (Denny) Baker of Coldwater, Mich.; a step brother, John (Pam) Kenney of Decatur; three step-sisters, Kate (Don) Steuernagel of Calif., Julie (Dan) Miller of Decatur and Laura Kenney of New Haven; and 13 step-grandchildren, Matt and Tyler Goyak, Vincent, Ryan and Sara Arnold, Sam and Will Hackman, Travis, Mike, Briona, Jake, Allissa and Christina Case.
She was preceded in death by a step-son, Micael Case; step-granddaughter Lindsey Arnold; two step-brothers, Patrick and James Kenney and a brother in law, James Reidenbach.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with calling one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. with Pastor Phillip Phifer officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made to the Adams County Community Foundation’s Angel Cancer Fund or to Zion Lutheran Church.
