Betty A. Peck, 76, of Woodburn, passed away at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne after having been ill since March.
Betty was born on Tuesday, June 9, 1936, in Elizabeth, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lyle L. Liebert and Anna (McCollum) Liebert.
She married Wayne R. Peck on April 6, 1962, in St. Paul Lutheran Church-Gar Creek; he passed away on May 24, 2000.
Betty was a member of the Monroeville United Methodist Church where she had been the church organist and sang in the church choir for many years.
She was a secretary in the insurance department at Slater Steel in Fort Wayne for 23 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Annette M.) Bader of Woodburn; son, Wayne E. (Sherrill A.) Frock of Monroe; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, and one hour prior to service at the church on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, in the Monroeville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mark Walus officiating.
Burial will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Monroeville United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
