Benefit co-ed softball tourney adds second name this year

September 9, 2013

Plans have been announced for the 2013 Brittany Raymond Arnold and Lyncoln Hess Memorial Tournament, a co-ed softball event.
"In addition to remembering Brittany Raymond Arnold, we are also remembering Lyncoln Hess in this year’s benefit," organizers said in an announcement. Lyncoln is the late daughter of Alicia Hirschy and Jesse Hess.
A co-ed softball tournament and cookout will be held on Saturday, September 28, in Hanna-Nuttman Park in Decatur. A 50/50 drawing will be held the day of the tournament, offering numerous prizes.
Donations collected this year will be directed to the Lyncoln Hess Scholarship Fund established through the Adams County Community Foundation.    Further details in today's print and e-editions.
