Bellmont thumps Blackford

    Bellmont hosted the Blackford Bruins last night at the Teepee and came away with a convincing 12-4 win to improve their record to 4-1 on the season.
    Senior Matt Stidam received the ball for Bellmont and went six innings allowing only two hits, three earned runs and two strikeouts.
    Stidam's first start was a little rocky considering the seven walks, and the Braves' defense did not help matters committing five errors on the night, but Bellmont's offense broke the game open in the bottom half of the first inning posting seven runs to take a commanding 7-0 lead.
