Bellmont grad finds a summer niche

June 28, 2013

A 2007 Bellmont High School graduate, Alicia Drier, has found a good way to spend her summer. She's co-directing Romeo and Juliet with Shakespeare From The Heart, an acting company that presents plays to raise funds for local charities.
The group has been a nonprofit organization in Fort Wayne for about 10 years, performing a summer show and a winter show each year with volunteers in the community.
Drier, now an English teacher at Concordia Lutheran High School, got involved with theatre during her time at Bellmont, participating in several plays both during her school years and summers as a student there. Drier says she heard of Shakespeare From The Heart in a local coffeehouse two years ago, and she attended their performance of Othello.
