Bellmont clinches SA Invitational
Bellmont earned their first tournament victory of the year on Wednesday night as they repeated as champions in the South Adams Invitational at the Golf Course of the Limberlost.

Ten teams met on the links in Geneva including all three county schools who ranged from all across the spectrum in the field with the Squaws taking first overall by a whopping 18 strokes with a 370 on the day.
Both Fairfield and Canterbury shot 388 as a team to tie for second place, while the host Lady Starfires were fourth with 394. Jay County was fifth with 424 followed by Southern Wells with 434, Eastbrook with 439, Bluffton at 458, Bishop Luers at 503, and Adams Central 10th with 516.
The Lady Stars were fourth overall despite the work of Sydney Willis who was medalist overall with a stellar 77 (+6) on the day, three strokes better than second place Regina Raber of Fairfield who led the team with an 80.
Macy Phegley had the third best score with an 86 leading the Squaws, while Sara Stroup from Canterbury shot an 88 and Fairfield's number two Alayna Fritchley was fifth overall with an 89.
Newcomer Lexy Norby shot a 92 for Bellmont, while Morgan Ellsworth shot a 95 and freshman shooter Emma Ainsworth was just behind with a 97. Rylee Hamilton was the fifth shooter for the Squaws finishing with a 106.
