Barbara Leistner

    Barbara Leistner, 85, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 30, at Woodcrest of Decatur.     She was born to Homer and Nellie (Myers) Leistner on April 16, 1926. 
    She married Paul Leistner on September 22, 1946; he is deceased.
    Barbara was a member of the Bethel Brethren Church in Berne. She was a member of the church choir, a deaconess, served on the building committee, was director of the Girls Youth Club, and a member of the Senior Citizen Club.
    She was a former employee at Swiss Village in the dietary department, and assisted her husband on the farm for many years. She dearly loved her family.
    Survivors include her two sons, John Leistner of Chattanooga, Ohio, and Denny (Tina) Leistner of Auburndale, Fla.; daughters Paula (Jerry) Reeves, of West Salem, Ohio; Rose (David) McComas of Fort Wayne; and Nelda (Gale) Thomas of Celina, Ohio; sisters Betty Roberts of Decatur; and Berdetta Jo Daniels of Huntington; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    Preceding her in death were a great-grandson, Cohen McComas, and sisters Cleora Daniels and Beverly Sue Stetler.
    Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, from 2-8 p.m. at Bethel Brethren Church.
    Funeral services are Wednesday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m., also at the church, with visitation one hour prior to services. Pastor Joe Naas will be officiating.
    Burial is at the Kessler Cemetery near Chattanooga, OH.
    Preferred memorials are to the Bethel Brethren Church.
    Arrangements were by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
