Barbara A. Geyer

    Barbara A. Geyer, 79, of Bluffton, a former longtime Adams County resident, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, in the Christian Care Retirement Community, Bluffton.
    She was born on Wednesday, November 9, 1932, in Adams County, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Anna M. (Burkhead) Hurst.
    She married George J. Geyer on September 5, 1953, in Decatur.
    Barbara was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim.
    She was a homemaker and retired from Decatur Casting after 13 years of service.
    Among survivors are her husband, George J. Geyer, Bluffton; daughter Angie (Dennis) Werling of Decatur; son Randy (Linda) Geyer of Decatur; son Kim J. Hurst of Decatur; brother Richard P. (Ruth) Hurst of Decatur; sister Donnabelle (Glen) Geyer of Decatur; brother Carl "Gene" (Shirley) Hurst of Decatur; brother Ronald "Mike" Hurst of Decatur; brother Jerry (Carmen) Hurst of Decatur;  seven grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Werling; Kristie (Brian) Schlemmer; Holly (Keith) Gleason; Nicole (Mike) Wolford; Corin Geyer and Fiancé (Ethan Brege); Avree Hurst; and Zoee Hurst; and one great grandchild, Maya Schlemmer.
    Preceding Barbara in death were two brothers, Arthur "Jug" Hurst and Robert Hurst.
        Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 22, in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home,  and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, in the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim, with Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating.
    Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim.
    Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church - Friedheim Building Fund or the donor's choice.
