Arrest made in Walgreen holdup

    A 23-year-old Wells County man who has been living in Berne is in the Adams County Jail this morning, accused of robbing the Walgreen Pharmacy on 13th St. in Decatur on July 18.
    Caleb B. Sain turned himself into authorities on Monday.
    Contacted by Decatur police Detective Mike Mahan on the telephone, Sain said he would meet authorities at a motel in Fort Wayne. He was picked up and returned here.
    No bond has been set for the holdup suspect.
    The incident occurred at 8:40 p.m. Police said at the time that the suspect approached the pharmacy counter at the store about 20 minutes before it was scheduled to close and passed a note to the pharmacist in charge.
    The note said he had a weapon and demanded all of the pain killers that Walgreen’s had in the pharmacy.
    After receiving a small amount of medications, the suspect panicked and fled the store in a southern direction, police said.
