Jason Arnold

South Adams football coach Jason Arnold was one of 10 high school coaches nominated for the weekly Colts/NFL Coach of the Week program sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Arnold, whose Starfires knocked off Bellmont 13-10 last Friday, was nominated in region three. Floyd McWhirt of Wabash High School was named Coach of the Week after leading the Apaches to its second straight win of the season in his first year at the helm.
This is the first time since 1976 that the Apaches have won their first two games of the year.
The 2011 season marks the 12th year the Indianapolis Colts will be recognizing Indiana high school football coaches through the Colts/NFL Coach of the Week program. A $1,000 donation from the NFL Youth Football Fund and a $1,000 contribution to the school's athletic fund will also be made by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Other coaches nominated included Phil Mason of Andrean, Cory Yeoman of Penn, Doug Nelson of Benton Central, Josh Buis of Greencastle, Scott Marsh of Perry Meridian, Scott May of Hamilton Southeastern, Terry Wagner of Forest Park, and Phil Bowsman of West Washington.
