The commissioners received a proposal from Dave Sholl of Schenkel & Shultz Architecture at Tuesday's meeting regarding the superior court project.
In the event a new building would be located at the northeast corner of Third Street and Madison Street, which is one of the locations being considered, Sholl has submitted a quote of $44,160 to serve with Cory Miller — a Decatur native — as architects for the project.
The building would house superior court, circuit court, the county clerk, public defender, and prosecutor. Community Corrections and the probation department would move into a renovated courthouse.
