Some members of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants basketball players and coaches put on a clinic for the youngsters in the local parks and recreation department's Biddie Basketball program on Sunday.
The youth were instructed on basic dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and slam-dunking skills.  Mad Ants players also took the time to take photos with the kids and sign autographs.
The parks department and Mad Ants organization have been partners for the past three years, according to a department spokesman. The partnership has included random visits by the Mad Ants mascot, player/coaches clinics and free/discounted tickets to a recognition Mad Ants basketball game at the Memorial Coliseum.
Each Biddie player receives a free Mad Ants ticket to the parks and rec recognition night, scheduled for Friday, December 9, at the Coliseum against the Springfield Armor.  Discounted tickets can be purchased by anyone in the community for that game simply by calling Garret Martz, account executive for the Mad Ants: (260) 469-4667, ext. 107.
