Anna Marie Spangler, 77, rural Decatur, died Thursday Aug. 7, 2014 at her residence.
Anna was born Aug. 1, 1937 in Adams County to the late Perry A. and Bessie G. (Irwin) Everett.
She married Paul E. Spangler on Oct. 10, 1953.
Anna was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.
She was also a member of the Tiger Lillies Ladies Club, Harley Owner Group, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and a life member of the NRA.
She worked for General Electric for 15 years and was the Adams County Assessor from 1979 to 1982.
She is survived by her husband Paul E. Spangler, Decatur; children David (Shelli) Spangler, Decatur, Dan (Dee) Spangler, Pierceton, Janet Spangler, Decatur, Ed Spangler, Decatur, Teresa Wilhelm, Huntertown, and Amy (Garry) Malott, Hoagland. Also surviving are a brother Jack (Emily) Everett, Fort Wayne; a sister-in-law Edna Everett, Decatur; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mellisa Mowery, and two brothers, Bob and Dan Everett.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at St. Mary's, with calling prior to from 9-11 a.m. in the parish hall.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. A reciting of the Holy Rosary will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetary.
Memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home and St. Joseph Catholic School.
