Andrews joins newspaper staff

The new fulltime reporter on the staff of the Daily Democrat is Jannaya Andrews of rural Rockford, Ohio.
Andrews will take over on January 1 from Eric Mann, who is retiring on December 31 from fulltime work after 41 years on the job.
She says she is "happy to be here and looking forward" to the work.
Andrews knows Decatur and Adams County well, having been born in Decatur and having graduated in 1991 from Bellmont High School.
She currently is studying communications at the Indiana-Purdue campus in Fort Wayne.
Her previous jobs were also in Decatur: 10 years on the production line for boats made by Thunderbird Products and a year or two as a saleswoman for the former Schwartz Ford dealership.
She and her husband, Scott Andrews, a 1989 Adams Central High School graduate and an employee at Dean's Foods' ice cream plant in Decatur's Industrial Park, have two daughters: Jaylynn, 17, a junior at Parkway High School in Rockford, Ohio, and Taylor, 14, an eighth grader at Zion Lutheran School in Decatur.
Her parents, Kenny and Diane Fuller, still reside in Decatur.
