    Amos M. Schwartz, 79, of rural Berne, died Wednesday at home.
    He was born in Adams County on April 10, 1931, to Jacob F. and Margueritte P. Schwartz.
    Among survivors are his wife, Elizabeth N.; six daughters, Mrs. Joe L. (Christine F.) Schwartz of rural Monroe; Mrs. Michael C. (Margaret F.) Schmidt of rural Salem, Indiana; Mrs. Daniel E. (Josephine F.) Schwartz of rural Monroe; Mrs. Samuel A. (Verena F.) Schmidt of rural Monroe; Mrs. Paul D. (Mary F.) Eicher of rural Berne; and Mrs. Jake E. (Barbara F.) Borntrager of rural Berne; and eight sons, Jake F. Schwartz of rural Salem; Noah F. Schwartz of rural Scottsburg, Indiana; Amos F. Schwartz of rural Berne; Sam F. Schwartz of rural Berne; Daniel F. Schwartz of rural Bryant; Solomon F. Schwartz of rural Geneva; Enos F. Schwartz of rural Berne; and Emanuel F. Schwartz of rural Berne.
    Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Emanuel F. Schwartz home, 7722 S. County Rd. 150 West, with burial in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 1-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in the Emanuel F. Schwartz home.
    Funeral arrangements were by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
