Alta L. Lautzenheiser

    Alta L. Lautzenheiser, 94, of Decatur, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born on June 17, 1918, to the late Earl R. and Elsie M. (Harmon) Haines.
    Alta married Glen A. Lautzenheiser on February 12, 1944; he passed away on February 12, 1974.
    She attended Monroe United Methodist Church. Alta had worked for General Electric in Decatur and retired after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Retired GE Ladies and the G.E. Quarter Century Club.
    Among survivors are her brother, Doyle Haines of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Doris (Gail) Runyon of Geneva and Jean Bowman of Monroe; three nephews, Kevin (Becky) Bowman and Dan (Linda) Bowman, both of Monroe, and Marlin Bowman of Decatur; a niece Devone (Duane) Johnson of Monroe; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be from 9–10 a.m. on Monday, December 31, at Woodcrest Porter Auditorium, and from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Monday at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Troy Green
    Burial will take place at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.
    Preferred memorials are to Family Life Care–Hospice.
